Health Education Programme

The Guiseley Community Foundation provides several Community Programmes at various times throughout the year so please refer to the Events Calendar to check availability.

The 2017 / 2018 National League Trust project “Community Health for All” aims to do this across the full range of age groups from pre-school children via the Little Lions project, to Walking Football for the over fifties and Chair based exercise for the elderly and less able.

The overall aim being to help both young and old make wise and healthy choices with regard to diet, exercise together with the avoidance of negative activities e.g. smoking and fast food.

Engaging teenagers in sport and exercise and encouraging team work remains a GCF priority. Drop off from team sport is prevalent post 13 and the aim is to continue to engage and support young people in these activities and reduce the risk of their engagement in anti-social behaviour in the community.
