Fearnville Pupils Bring Luck as Lions Wallop York

Guiseley 6 York City 1

Children from Fearnville Priary School visited Guiseley AFC’s Nethermoor stadium for the Vanarama National League game against York City.

The children played a thrilling 6-6 match on the astroturf pitch prior to the game and then formed a guard on honour on the pitch as the two teams walked out.

The children were obliviously good luck charms because Guiseley won 6-1!!!

There was also some feedback from teacher Daniel Cassidy:

Thanks for last night.

My favourite game ever!!! 🙂 It had everything! Goals, power cuts, a dog that looked like a lion, a player called Cassidy and most importantly lots of happy, smiley Fearnville children.

Attached are a few photos.  You can use them in the programme / on your website.

I’ll put photos on the website when I get chance.

Thanks again

Daniel Cassidy
